Advises and mentors emerging scientists and entrepreneurs in early-stage start-ups focused on science, engineering, and technology. She has previously mentored TechStars start-ups on business and technology strategy, grant funding, and pitching.

Speaking Engagements

Supports scientists and engineers on their entrepreneurial ventures. She speaks on panels, conferences, podcasts at universities, conferences, and incubators on topics such as start-ups, science entrepreneurship, and being a woman in STEM.

SBIR/STTR Consultation

Consults science and tech start-ups on securing SBIR/STTR funding. She has worked with founders, professors, medical doctors, and collaborators from top research institutions and hospitals, including MIT, MGH, Columbia U., U. of Colorado, UCLA, Brown University, Boston U., NYU, U. of Texas, UCSD, and more.

STEM Advocate

Served as a board member on several non-profit organizations that support women and minorities in science & engineering.

Author & Editor

 Content advisor and editor on a series of children’s comic books, “The STEM Files,” published by Cherry Lane Publishing to teach children about STEM. Dr. Chin is also the author of Train Like a Scientist, Think like an Entrepreneur (available on Amazon today).
